The importance of team building is now known to all successful companies and groups, since only coordinated action of all the employees aimed towards the same goal provides desired long-term results for the company.
Similarly as it is important for athletes, musicians and soldiers to get plenty of practice before they perform or go to the battlefield, a work group must also learn how to work as a team before entering the market.  The team also learns how to work effectively when put under stress.
 Because the whole team continually and without interruption lives and works in a small space, tolerance, flexibility and organized living are needed – in short, it quickly shows whether the team is also compatible as regards personal character. Potential hidden problems in interpersonal relationships are highlighted. Relationships in the team can thus be discussed and smoothed out, which is a prerequisite for efficient performance of the team in the future.
 Residing and working together in a new environment, when routine work is taken out of account, allows individuals in a team to show off their hidden abilities and characteristics, which they had not yet been able to demonstrate and apply at work for the company: innovativeness, flexibility, resourcefulness, the ability to seek out alternative solutions, and taking initiative and responsibility.
